If you go to lithium (which im looking to do) you''ll shed about 2/3 the weight of the battery. Thats always good for acceleration. Also, the fully charged 36v lithium pack will be more like 40v so a little extra pep for a bit. If anything, just do the lithium swap and ride out. Now, one downside to lithium is theres no "limp home".

Both are pretty much used, the factory fit option goes under the passenger seat. There tends to be more factory electrics under the passenger seat so if the drivers seat is free that can be easier to retro fit, especially if choosing a larger battery.

For me… my LB us under the drivers seat, as mine is a camper and I wanted to be able to get to the camper electrics easily and so I installed them underneath the pax seat (otherwise the furniture is in the way).
