On June 9, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali laid the foundation stone for the construction of the IT-Hub Dushanbe complex in the I. Somoni district of the capital. Dushanbe's skyline is set to change with the unveiling of a 400-meter-tall skyscraper designed by RMJM, which reimagines urban development by integrating nature directly into the heart of the city. The planned complex will bring together an IT school, IT park. The RMJM Dushanbe Tower, designed by the international architecture firm RMJM Milano, under the leadership of Principals Luca Aldrighi & Abhinav Goel, represents the vision for one of the supertall developments in Central Asia, redefining the skyline of Tajikistan's capital city.
With a population of more than 800,000, Dushanbe is the largest city in the country and the upgrade of its district heating should reduce greenhouse gases by 39,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. It should also achieve annual water savings of around 100,000 cubic metres.
